TPV Innovation Day

In the TPV Group we aim at establishing a creative work environment and therefore encourage our employees to search for innovation solutions in order to contribute to the company’s efficiency. Every year the Innovation Committee selects the most innovative idea  submitted by an individual and a team and they are rewarded for their contributions. On the innovation day, the President of the Management Board Vladimir Gregor Bahč and the Management Board Member Marko Gorjup conferred the awards and prizes for the best innovative ideas.

According to the Innovation Committee Marko Pečarič was most impressive innovator submitting the suggestion called »Reduction in amount of material for the ident number 8989«. The best team innovation award was conferred to Stanislav Bobnar, Srečko Basarac, Anton Juratovac and Anton Pezdirc for their innovative solution called »Products made by two operators«.

At the event, we hosted two lecturers: Andrej Pečjak from the company Metron Inštitut who presented the innovation and development of electric vehicle, and Uroš Močnik, MBA, who led the visitors from from routine to creative thinking. The audience was also addressed by the Dean of the Faculty for Mechanical Engineering Branko Širok who pointed out the importance of innovation as it is beside knowledge one of the key foundations for a successful performance of development engineers and companies.

In addition to the innovative ideas, we also encourage the supplementary education of the employees in accordance with the strategic objectives set by the TPV Group. Every year the President of the Management Board confers  Martin Sever awards for the best graduate thesis. This year’s awardees are: Jože Kastrevc, Boštjan Perše, Kristjan Kežman and Jože Pečavar.

TPV is an innovation-focused company which is confirmed by numerous innovative ideas and enviable successes achieved last year. We can boast two gold awards for innovation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dolenjske and Bela Krajina and a silver award of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia – the Reginal Unit of Posavje. We have also achieved an outstanding success on the national level by being given a gold and bronze national award.

Opening of fine art exhibition by architect Marijan Lapajne

On Monday, January 4, 2016 was an opening of fine art exhibition by the renowned architect from Novo mesto, Marijan Lapajne who lives his life to the fullest and who has given the city of Novo mesto an architectural character. At the exhibition, a great significance of his architectural solutions and designs was  pointed out by Vladimir Gregor Bahč, President of the Management Board of TPV d.d., Gregor Macedoni, Mayor of Municipality of Novo mesto, professor Branko Šuster and Tomaž Kordiš, President of GZDB.

Marijan Lapajne is active in several areas and besides architecture and photography he is passionate about travelling and swimming. Diversity of his life is reflected in the exhibited photographs divided in the following topic sections: buy it, Mirsad and Jurij, farewell Palmira, fairies of the Gorjanci hills and the  celebrator, Montreal 2014, news,  hedge mustard and dandlion leaves, faces in passing. The exhibition also features drawings of TPV headquarters building,   architectural proposals of the third development axis and architectural plan for preservation of the Znančev mill with sawmill.

Marijan Lapajne is dedicating this exhibition to his long-lasting friend, the President of the Management Board, Mr Vladimir Gregor Bahč at his jubilee celebration.

 

We were given an Award of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina 2014 for Exemplary human resource treatment

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina gives support to exemplary human resource treatment in the region of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina, for this is a way to increase competitiveness of the economy in this region and to present exemplary local practices. To this end, the 8th day of the human resource treatment was held October 22, 2015 in Otočec and the topic of the event was »Being penetrative, decisive and different«.

The award for an exemplary human resource  treatment for 2014 was conferred to TPV with the following grounds: TPV as a company being involved in the global automotive industry is given the award for their integrated management of human resource process including the upgrading of personnel development system. For this purpose, the company uses the method of targeted leadership, method of 360 degree feedback and the personnel potential analysis and the personnel replacement planning. In this way, the company has connected one of their strategic guidelines »competent co-workers wishing to be successful« with the activities of carefully planned human resource work directed towards the career development, enhanced commitment to work and consequently improved effectiveness and efficiency at work.«

The Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina, Tomaž Kordiš and the vice chairman of the committee, Mateja Novak, delivered the award to the HR Director, Martina Brec who at that occasion said that many different awards had been conferred to the company for improvements related to work process and equipment, material forming, etc, but it was the first time to be given an award for exemplary human resource or employees  treatment which was one more reason to be pleased.

The HR Director, Martina Brec, took the opportunity to give thanks first to the management board of TPV for their entire support offered to the HR department for implementation of new   methods and tools in the area of personnel development and second to the managers for accepting and actively cooperating on the implementation of the respective methods and tools in the working processes.

High interest in TPV at the Career Fair »MojeDelo«

October, 15th 2015, the traditional 13th Career Fair MojeDelo 2015 was held in Ljubljana. This job fair is an opportunity for job seekers to meet employers and establish connections with them. The purpose or the challenge of  this Career fair was to connect at least 10.000 career-oriented individuals with employers.

Prior to the Career fair 2015, we published job advertisements on the job portal MojeDelo.com for the jobs or professions like engineers, researchers, project engineers, technologists, maintainers and tool makers.

TPV was represented by Irena Mislej, Aleš Mikolič and Boštjan Dobovšek and our  exposition stand was attracted by a lot of visitors and more than 60 active job seekers stopped by our stand  to make a short job interview and submit their CV. TPV representatives answered questions about TPV and our specific skills and distributed special questionnaires to complete in order to receive some additional precious information.

According to the visitors’ level of formal education, they can be classified in two major groups: mechanical engineering and electrical engineering and automatics and robotics  were their main areas of interest. They are followed by economy (sales, purchasing and project management as the most interesting areas of interest) and chemical engineering (metallurgical engineering and materials).

By all means, the most suitable candidates will be invited to an interview and in view of agreement they will be included in our database of potential job candidates.

 

National Gold Award 2015

Brdo pri Kranju, 16th September 2015 –  The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia conferred awards for the best national innovations. More than 170 innovations and 800 innovators took part on the regional level and 38 innovations were shortlisted. At this occasion, 12 gold, 21 silver and 1 bronze awards and 1 diploma were conferred.

Among 38 innovations applying for the national award, TPV d.d. together with SiEVA d.o.o. received their first National gold award for the innovation called Definition of the fold shape on the HSS tubes with increased static and dynamic load capacity of the car seat linking shaft, whose authors are Vili Malnarič, MSc, Rajko Marinčič, MSc, Tomaž Savšek DSc, Dušan Šimec, Blaž Župan and Veljko Goleš.

In addition, TPV’s business unit PE Brežice Machine Manufacturing was conferred a bronze award for innovation Assembly device for BMW gear assembly, whose authors are Dario Novak, Boris Antolovič and Miran Ferenčak.

These awards demonstrate that we are at the top of most innovative companies in Slovenia.

 

 

TPV in Cern

Tuesday , 20th January, 2015 the PURESAFE Final Conference hosted Stanko Škec from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Zagreb who made a presentation of the outcomes of the Eureka project VISINEV (www.visinev.org). The project VISINEV was nominated among other 15 international research projects in the field of development of complex  engineering systems. The partners in this project are: Končar Institute Zagreb, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture Zagreb, the company CALYX Croatia and TPV Novo mesto, Slovenia. The conference was held from January 19 to 23, 2015 in the well-known research centre Cern, Geneva.
