In the site of Novo mesto, an AED located at the car dealer TPV Avto is also available to residents.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a consequence of a sudden cardiac arrest, 5 to 7 people die in Slovenia per day which makes 2.000 per year. When the first aid is given, the chance of survival is much higher. If we treat the patient with a defibrillator within less than two minutes, the chance of survival is 50% or higher.<\/p>\n<p>In TPV, occupational health and safety of employees is our priority. With the aim of increasing our employees\u2019 safety at work, <strong>we have equipped with automated external defibrillators all our business units and<\/strong> <strong>subsidiaries<\/strong> knowing that we can save lives in case of sudden cardiac arrests.\u00a0<strong>In the site of Novo mesto, an external unit of AED is located at the car dealer TPV Avto, Kandijska 60, and is also available to residents.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With a view to provide even higher safety, <strong>we have trained more than 100 employees who attended a seminar to learn basic resuscitation procedures using an AED<\/strong>. They have become aware of importance of providing prompt aid, reacting in case of cardiac arrest, and learned the procedure for use of AED. The gained knowledge will help them trust their own abilities which will results in a more determined reaction in the event of resuscitation or using an AED.<\/p>\n<p>Purchasing AEDs and training employees, we have joined the project of Heart-friendly company which is intended to connect employees, companies and residents and encourage them all to provide mutual assistance in case of accident or sudden cardiac arrest.
