As part of a consortium of 17 Slovene companies, TPV Automotive is participating in the research, development, and innovation investment project “GREen MObility, Lightweight“. The project was established at the end of 2023 within the framework of the GREMO Mission (GREen MObility), which is based on the recognition that Slovenia needs to build a strong ecosystem of partners who will, both independently and through collaborative development partnerships, build competencies and capacities in key areas of mobility electrification and the transition to a digital and green industry.

The GREMO Lightweight consortium partnership addresses the key challenges of the Slovenian automotive industry in a comprehensive manner. The industry must follow global trends, including the transformation of supply chains and their adaptation to the decline of internal combustion engines and the growth of electric and electrified vehicle powertrains. This transformation also involves the development of energy storage systems, with a special focus on lightweight construction solutions for future vehicles. The GREMO Lightweight project connects partners who contribute solutions in the field of research and development of products, systems, and technologies aimed at reducing the weight of components for electric and electrified vehicles. The project also addresses the development of production processes and technologies, as well as the assessment of the environmental footprint of products. Reducing environmental impact is one of the key elements of future strategic development in the automotive industry, as it is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.

TPV Automotive plays a significant role in the consortium, leading a key work package (WP4) titled Product, Process, and Tool Development in a Virtual Environment. This includes the development of 3D design, development simulations, and the creation and validation of development prototypes. TPV Automotive also contributes to other work packages within the project. The project has a duration of three years, and this month the first annual report was successfully completed. The project is also partially co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia.
